About the Artist
Hi, I’m Stephanie! Welcome :) I hope that my art brings energy, fun and playfulness to your every day!
I'm inspired by sunshine, good music, nature, wild creativity, and sketchbooks that are bursting at the seams. I earned a BFA from Syracuse University and have been in the creative industry since graduating in 2011.
When I'm not painting, I am photographing people for my other business, Stephanie Rita Photography in Hudson, MA. I’m married to Nate, and we have a 4 year old son!
More quirks:
I’m a curious/creative weirdo. I often get distracted by cool architecture or interesting light patterns or a particularly beautiful autumn leaf and will probably stop to take a few photos.
I’ve worked by myself (self-employed) for the last 10 years, so I am comfortable (and sometimes prefer) being alone. That being said, idea-bouncing and brainstorming with other creative humans gives me LIIIIFE.
Music is a huge part of my creative process: I feel more open and flowing and willing to try new things when there is meaningful music playing around me.
I keep a list of my favorite mosaic/tile floors I’ve encountered around the world! It’s true! The Library of Congress and the Vatican are both high on the list.
